This is a 3D VR Virtual Reality model of the Parthenon and Acropolis in Athens, Greece as it probably existed in 165 AD.
This model was found in the Wikipedia page about the
Acropolis. Particularly the stl file was found at this Wikipedia
page. The stl file was created from an original blender file. This file is made available under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication.
The base and columns are built by me. They are based on data found on the internet. Notice the "bulge" of the columns and the slight curve of the base. This was intentional by the builders of the Parthenon for visual aesthetics.
I will be working on the rest of the Parthenon with data I have. I'm currently modifying and updating this file by breaking it apart into more readily workable objects. I will be adding textures to the different buildings and parts.
The model is still under construction and I will be updating it as I get new data on the structure of the buildings and of the Acropolis.
